what is Burns Night London 2023 all about?

Burns Night is a real highlight of the year. It’s a chance to celebrate the life of Scotland’s National Poet – Robert Burns –  in a way he would have wanted: eating, drinking, dancing and laughter.  Burns wrote some of the world’s most famous songs and poetry including Auld Lang Syne and we celebrate his birthday on the 25th January 1759.

so, how does the Ceilidh Club celebrate Burns Night London 2023?

We’ll be at the awesome St. Mary’s in Marylebone. It’s a large venue with great facilities. There’s a huge dance floor, fantastic sound system and a fab space to eat.

Doors open at 6:30 and dancing is from 7:30-10:30. There are some great bars in the area to continue the party after 10:30.

What’s the running order for the night?

6:30 Doors open / bar open

7:00ish onwards food served buffet style. Haggis (Vegan/Vegetarian and Meat – you get to choose), Neeps (turnips) and Tatties (potatoes).

7:30-8:50 Dancing

8:50 Break and Haggis is piped in

9:00 Address to the Haggis

9:05 Haggis piped off stage. Solo piping session.

9:10 Dancing

10:30 Evening ends with Auld Lang Syne

How much are tickets?

Full price £TBA, Concession £TBA. Concessions are students, unemployed, retired, Blue card holders,  Sláinte!

There will be no door tickets, all tickets must be booked in advance
